BESSERAT DE BELLEFON TRIPLE B, VINTAGE 2013
BESSERAT DE BELLEFON TRIPLE B, VINTAGE 2013
ABV: 12%
ABOUT
The core aim at Besserat de Bellefon is to protect and pass on their vineyard, their terroir and their soil to future generations in a healthy and resistant condition. Actively committed for many years to organic and biodynamic growing, the BB estate is one of only 31 houses (out of over 4,000) that has the capacity to create organic and biodynamic wines. They are involved in protecting their ecosystem and intend to respect the balance between terroir, plants and people.
Besserat de Bellefon’s concept and signature add new meaning to this Champagne: precise vinification and a careful blend from the various plots making up this estate enhance the unique flavour and crispness of the grapes.
METHOD
Terroir: Vallée de la Marne Calcareous clay soil, using home produced compost
Grape: 60% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, 10% Chardonnay
Age of vines: 37 years average
Dosage: Less than 3g/L (Brut Nature)
TASTE & AROMA
An intense and varied nose of fresh and perfectly ripe fruit lead into notes of stewed fruit (apple-pear-cinnamon) and crystallised fruit (quince, mandarin orange). To taste, this Chamapgne is pleasantly intense with the characteristic elegance of 2013 vintage. Its minerality is in harmony with the terroir and the estate’s viticulture practices. The finish offers a remarkable salinity.
