La Progresiva sees the world from a progressive point of view. When we look back, we see the march of time, the progression of events, large and small, that have changed the world and created new traditions, often by breaking old ones.

METHOD

La Progresiva is anchored in Vigia’s historic experience of rum production. A low-sugar rum, it’s crafted, blended and bottled by hand using heritage Cuban spirits. Locked away for decades in central Cuba, The Island Rum Company’s store of 7,000 casks of aged rum is a treasure trove of liquid history. Yet La Progresiva transforms that past legacy to embrace the future. In Spanish, La Progresiva is “the progressive one”.

Blend número 13” was selected from over 50 Mezclas, or blends, to deliver this sipping masterpiece. This is a progressive breakthrough taste profile for Cuba, with balanced notes of rich dark cocoa, a velvet mouth feel and sustained finish.
