ABOUT
Solera was the very first Starward whisky. Made using the traditional solera process means there is a drop of their very first whisky in every bottle. Matured in Australian Apera barrels, this whisky is a bonafide Starward Australian take on a traditional whisky.
METHOD
Single malt whisky, fully matured in Australian fortified barrels in the style of Spanish sherry.
TASTE & AROMA
On the nose this whisky is bright and tropical, with aromas of orchard fruits, caramel and vanilla. To taste, toasty caramel and creme brûlée, banana, figs and sweet spice give way to a juicy and full finish with a lingering dry spice.
RECOMMENDED SERVES
HORSEFEATHER - 40ml Solera, 2 dashes of bitters, half a squeezed lime, 100ml Ginger beer
Build in a long glass over ice. Garnish with an orange slice.
