ABOUT 

Historically the ‘Puntas’ of agave spirits have long been considered the most coveted part of the distillate, normally reserved by the distiller to celebrate special occasions with family and friends. This second release is from rancho Mesa Colorada, whose rich red soils, high elevation and plateau-like positioning produces the richest, ripest agave. This release was blended and hand selected by a group of highly celebrated agave afficionados from around the world in collaboration with Jesse Estes and Fanny & Carlos Camarena.

METHOD

Puntas takes only a small cut at the end of the heads and beginning of the heart. This ‘Distiller’s Cut’ comes off the still at 128 proof, before diluting with deep well water to 106 proof.

TASTE & AROMA

Nose: Green grass, alpine freshness and warm citrus notes

Palate: Salted butterscotch and charred pineapple, moving into ancho chilli, cacao and Cracked black pepper.
